Dr. Shelby Astle (she/her)

Dr. Shelby Astle recently graduated from Kansas State University with a PhD in Applied Family Science. Throughout her graduate school career, her research has focused on how caregivers socialize their children around sexual topics, especially how they contribute to (or hinder) their children’s development of sexual well-being.

Her research is guided by critical lenses such as intersectional feminism and queer theory and centers on providing tangible recommendations for caregivers and parent educators.
